Pokemon Scarlet Violet Infernape Tera Raid Battle

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are planning yet another Tera Raid Battle event, and this time, players will be able to take on Infernape.

Infernape will appear in 7 Star Raids, which is what we typically see. The creature comes with the Rock Tera Type and the Mightiest Mark. You’ll be able to catch it just once per save file.

In the early days of Pokemon – we’re talking back on Game Boy – many Pokemon suffered from incredibly small movepools. For example, Scyther didn’t have access to a single Flying-type move in Red and Blue despite being a half Flying-type itself. Fortunately, the developers have fixed this issue over the years, and now many Pokemon have huge movepools. That being said, certain move decisions are questionable at best. Some Pokemon have access to certain moves that don’t make a ton of sense thematically, and today we’re going over a big list of some of the strangest movepool additions in the Pokemon series.

The 7 Star Serperior Tera Raid Battle for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is live now. It goes from now until September 22nd, and then it comes back a week later from September 27 to September 29. This time, Serperior is running Tera Grass, which boosts its signature Contrary Leaf Storms to nuclear power. That means you’d better have Sap Sipper or a really solid and bulky Grass-type resistance. If you’re looking to take down this tough opponent, check out our strategy below.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Tera Raid Battle Serperior

Heads up for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet players, as the next Tera Raid Battle event is coming and it stars Serperior.

Serperior can be found in 7 Star Tera Raid Battles. Aside from featuring the Grass Tera Type, it’ll have the Mightiest Mark. Similar to past events, it can be caught once per save file.

Most forgotten Pokemon

The matter of most forgotten Pokemon is always a subjective one. Everybody’s got different favorites, and they say that every single Pokemon is at least one person’s favorite. That being said, some Pokemon are more obscure than others – and there are bound to be instances where a specific Pokemon is the favorite of very few players.

Today, we’re going over a list of some of the most forgotten Pokemon of all time. Do note that we’re actually not including Lumineon on this list – it’s always on “most forgotten Pokemon” lists, and it’s so forgettable that it’s looped around into being memorable for being forgettable (if that makes sense). We’re including Pokemon who really aren’t talked about very much.

Hardest Shiny Hunts

Today, we’re listing off some of the hardest Shiny Pokemon to get. Most of these are from games prior to the Switch generation, but can still be transferred over to modern games.

At the time of writing, Pokemon Bank is still open for business – at least for those who’ve already downloaded it. In the past, we’ve discussed easy Shiny hunts you can do on DS and 3DS-generation Pokemon games. But how about some of the most difficult? Indeed, all of the Pokemon games prior to X and Y have a decreased Shiny rate of 1 in 8000 (roughly), which means there are plenty of tough and time-consuming Shiny hunts to do before Pokemon Bank eventually closes. Get ready for some tough hunts!

7 Star Incineroar guide for Pokemon Scarlet Violet

The 7 Star Incineroar Tera Raid Battle event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is live now. It goes from September 6 to September 8, and then comes back the following weekend from September 13 to September 15. This time around, we’ve got a Tera Dark Incineroar, which means its signature Darkest Lariat move is buffed to super-strength. If you’re looking to topple this intimidating opponent, take a look at some of our strategies below.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Tera Raid Incineroar

Another Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Tera Raid Battle event is planned, and for the next event, players will be able to take on Incineroar.

Incineroar will be popping up in 7 Star Tera Raids. It features the Dark Tera Type and the Mightiest Mark. Just like we’ve seen before, it can be caught once per save file.

7 star dragonite Pokemon Scarlet Violet

The 7 Star Dragonite Tera Raid Battle event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is now live, and it lasts until September 1. This time around, Dragonite is running Tera Normal, which means you should expect to see lots and lots of Extreme Speed attacks (and it also means you might want to bring a Ghost-type, or at least a Pokemon that resists Normal-type attacks). You have plenty of time to prepare yourself with one of the Dragonite counters we’ve listed here.

Pokemon X and Y leak

Today, we’re looking at a Pokemon X and Y leak from March 2014 that contained cut story elements that wound up reused in subsequent games.

Pokemon X and Y were the first main series game in full 3D. All of the characters, environments, and the Pokemon themselves were fully modeled and animated for the first time ever, which marked a big leap forward for the series. Despite this giant leap in technology, though, X and Y aren’t exactly the most loved Pokemon games (though they do have their fair share of dedicated fans). In a strange way, X and Y are something of an anomaly. Generation 6 is the only generation that didn’t have a third version game, for instance – there was never a Pokemon Z or a Pokemon X2 or Y2. In fact, Zygarde had new forms introduced to it in Pokemon Sun and Moon, a completely separate generation. So what happened here?

In March 2014, a user going by the name “XYSider” posted a giant leak on 4chan discussing story points and mechanics that wound up cut from the final game due to time constraints. This leak is absolutely huge in terms of size, so we’re not writing today on the assumption that it’s all true. That being said, for being posted in March 2014, a few elements from this leak wound up coming true in some way or another in future games. So today, we’re taking a look at every part of this leak and examining all of the things that came to fruition – either coincidentally or because maybe it was real – in Pokemon games that came after X and Y.
