8-Bit Adventures 2 just dropped a major update on Nintendo Switch which is highlighted by the inclusion of a post-game dungeon.
The dungeon can be accessed after finishing the main story. It also comes with new a new town, new super bosses, new music, and more. All of this is entirely free.

MegaWobble isn’t finished with Lil Gator Game as brand new In The Dark DLC has just been revealed. No release window has been provided at this time.
Specifics are also mostly under wraps. We do know that the DLC offers a new adventure in the dark “with new toys and new stories”.

Ninja Issen release date set for February

Today, CFK set a release date for Ninja Issen on Nintendo Switch. We’ll be seeing it on February 20, 2025.
Ninja Issen, a hyper ninja action game, was confirmed for Nintendo Switch way back in 2020. It’s taken a few years for the title to arrive following multiple delays, but now it’s just a little over a month away.

Iconoclasts is Europe’s next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial

Another Game Trial has been announced for Nintendo Switch Online in Europe, and this time around, Iconoclasts is taking the spotlight.
During the event, the entire experience can be accessed at no extra cost. All progress can be transferred to the full version if you choose to purchase it. The event starts now, January 15, and runs through to January 21.
Escape Kids is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch

Another Arcade Archives game is about to drop on Nintendo Switch, with Escape Kids due to release worldwide tomorrow, January 15.
The sports action game was first released in 1991 by Konami, and in it players need to repeatedly press buttons to reach the finish line before the “champion” dressed in black. The game also supports up to four players.

Colony simulation game Hungry Meem coming to Nintendo Switch this year

Publisher Drecom have announced that they will be bringing Hungry Meem to Nintendo Switch this year. The colony simulation game will task players with taking care of the titular Meems, mysterious creatures that live beneath the World Tree and are in danger of extinction. No release date was announced.

Nintendo warns against using “unauthorized services” such as online Wii U replacement

A statement was posted on social media today in which Nintendo is cautioning fans against using “unauthorized services”. Specifics weren’t shared, but the company acknowledged that there are ways to continue playing Wii U games online. Nintendo claims that using these services “may pose unexpected security risks.”
Online support for Wii U – as well as 3DS – was discontinued last April. But there are ways to circumvent that. The open-source project Pretendo was previously established for this very reason, offering online functionality via custom servers and “clean-room reverse engineering.” Users need to hack their device in order to use the service.

New tech specs for Nintendo Switch 2 are claimed to have made their way online that reveal the TFLOPS and clock speeds of the console.
It’s tough to nail down the actual source of where today’s numbers are coming from. The details were posted on various social channels and places such as Reddit and Famiboards, and people are taking it seriously enough to the point where it’s apparently worth considering. There’s also talk surrounding a Nintendo Switch 2 SDK leak – which could be where the numbers originate.

There’s yet another Nintendo Switch game incoming from RedDeerGames, and the company has now announced Mini Market Design. It will be available on January 21, 2025.
Mini Market Design is a creative sandbox game at its core. Players will design and decorate their own mini market – as the name implies.
